Tavern in the Gruene
Located in a 1940s era pole barn that was originally used to house sheep and hogs, Tavern in the Gruene is a unique Texas hangout situated less than a mile from the Gruene Historic District right next to Gruene Homestead Inn. The Tavern is an air-conditioned live music venue with a full bar and huge outdoor patio, projector screen, shuffleboard table, pool table, electronic dart board, washers game, cornhole, and both indoor and outdoor stages... a unique spot for good times!
Over the past decade, Tavern in the Gruene has become a special part of Texas musical history by being “The Place” in the New Braunfels area at which up and coming, and regionally famous, Texas musicians can perform. Regular drink specials and a clean, friendly atmosphere have endeared the Tavern to both locals and visitors alike. After recently undergoing new ownership, new owners Mark and Brandy Worley have dedicated their time and efforts into bringing new and exciting additions to the Tavern while keeping the historic charm and laid back feel everyone has grown to love. Stop by the place where friends go to discover how tradition meet swank!
